RULES & FAQ
Age Divisions: 0-23 Months, 2 -3 Years, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-17, 18 & Up/Mrs., Boys 0-6
You will compete based on your age the day of the pageant. A fallback may be requested if the child's birthday falls within 1 month before the day of the pageant. You must contact me before the pageant for permission. Large Divisions may be split, example: if in the 7-9 year old group there are 12 entries, I may split the 7 year olds from the 8-9 so instead of one group of 12 there will be two smaller groups. This allows for more chances at a higher title. For the 18 & Up/Mrs. group: this is usually a smaller group with 2-3 contestants. If the group is larger I will split the married 18 & up from the unmarried.
Attire: Pageant Dress or Sunday Best. We do not ask our judges to score on attire, only overall appearance. It is up to you if you would like to wear a pageant dress or a more simple dress like something you would wear to church. We tell our judges to score based on how well the dress compliments the child, does it fit? is it clean? do her shoes and socks match? We ask that our contestants have little to no makeup, just as long as they look their age. Examples: 0-24 months should not have any makeup. 2-6 may wear light powder, blush or lip gloss. 7 & up may wear eye makeup and lipstick. Please no hair pieces, except for medical reasons.
Scoring: Judges will score on Facial Beauty, Stage Projection/Personality and Overall Appearance. Scores are 1-10 in each category for a total possible of 30 points. Score sheets are available upon request after the pageant. Judges tally their own scores and complete a winner's list that they hand to me as they enter the room before crowning. I take a few moments to look over the list to make sure no one is double crowned and to pick Director's Choice. We want our contestants to know that this is a fair pageant and judges scores are FINAL.
Awards: In each age division there will be a Queen, Princess and alternates. Each of these will receive a Crown, Banner and Goody Bag. If you are not called during your age division, it means that you have pulled for a higher title. The higher titles are: Mini Supreme (the contestant out of the 0-3 with the highest score), Grand Supreme (contestant our of 4 & up with the highest score), Overall Supreme (contestant out of the entire pageant with highest score). Supreme titles will not be double crowned. Directors's Choice, Congeniality and Ambassador are double crowned. So please do not leave after your age division is crowned. Supreme winners all receive one of our custom made crowns with the pink MM, a monogrammed backed banner and trophy. Supreme winners are also asked to attend our next pageant as visiting royalty. They will help with awards, be introduced on stage and their photo will appear in the program. Every contestant receives a goody bag.
A photogenic winner will be awarded a custom Little Miss Ma'am plaque in each age division. Photos should be turned in at registration in a clear plastic cover with the child's name and age on the back. They will be returned to you at the end of the pageant.
Side Awards are Prettiest Eyes, Hair and Smile. Winners for each of these will be chosen in each age division and will receive a medal.
Cutest Couple Competition - $30 fee per couple - Couple can be a Mother/Daughter, Father/Daughter, Grandmother/Granddaughter etc. Attire for this competition is completely up to you, be creative :) Contestants in this competition will go on stage after the 18 & Up group. We will allow you plenty of time to change for this event. Female winners receive a round crown and flowers, male winners receive a trophy.
Side Awards of Prettiest Eyes, Hair and Smile and Director's Choice Award are included in basic entry fee.
Door entry for all non-contestants is $5 for ages 3 & Up. Door prizes will be given away at the pageant, must have your arm band to win! Person bringing the most people with them will be crowned our Miss Congeniality.
